The game uses a stamina system, which your sword attacks if i remember right deplete. The more stamina you have the more damage you do if i remember right. It has been awhile. I don't think that holding up your shield if you're a class that has one drains your stamina, but getting hit does.
If you're being an archer, you must also account for arrow drop and once again, if i remember right you do not have any help aiming. I remember shooting sideways at people trying to get across a rope bridge over a canyon and knocking them off or killing them, and shooting down contested hallways. It's a blast. Classes: There are a couple different class you can be. There are archers one with a longbow and one with a crossbow , normal ground troops with a variety of weapons, and knights with a variety of weapons ranging from battle axes to maces.
