More traditional music forms are celebrated at the International Folklore Festival in July. Cinephiles will love the well-respected Zagreb Film Festival , held every November, where more than films are shown over nine days, and Animafest , a celebration of animated film, held every summer. For one week in July Zagreb Upper Town courtyards open their doors and throw up music and food parties. Streets are lit up, food stalls sell sausages and mulled wine. And each square has a unique range of tidbits at their Christmas fair. The rhythm of live music quickly makes you forget the below zero temperature that turns your feet stiff with cold.
